1. Ristorante Luca
Situated next to the iconic Amsterdamse Poort in Haarlem, Ristorante Luca stands as a bastion of Mediterranean charm and cuisine. This well-established Italian eatery, operated by three generations of the Adamo family, brings the essence of Italy to the Netherlands.
It is slightly outside the city center, But it’s about a 5-minute walk if you cross the “Gravenstenenbrug” close to the Teyler museum. While the outside might not look inviting, the inside is the complete opposite.
This is my favorite. It’s close to where I live and has a casual, informal atmosphere.
The owner is Italian, And the bartender speaks mostly Italian. My favorite pizzas are the pepperoni and the margarita. But if you want a pasta tip: get the ravioli. Its white creamy sauce is really, really good!

2. The Pizzabakkers Haarlem
Nestled on the route from the central station to the Grote Markt, it’s a gem in Haarlem’s culinary scene.
What sets these pizzas apart is that each one is crafted using Italian recipes and baked in a wood oven, enhancing the flavor profile. The crust is light, and airy, and bears that distinct char one expects from a classic wood oven-baked pizza.
The menu boasts a variety of choices, catering to a range of tastes, from the classic Margherita to more unique flavor combinations, ensuring there’s something for everyone. Whether you’re looking for a quick bite or a leisurely dinner, their central location makes it an easy choice for any occasion. Oh, And a tip, always add, when possible the Burrata!

3. Ristorante La Picoletta
This Italian gem is nestled on Lange Veerstraat, where it serves as a welcoming beacon for both locals and tourists. The restaurant’s atmosphere is warm, aided by a rustic touch that makes you feel right at home.

4. Italian Restaurant Centopercento
Centporcento finds his origins in Calabria, Italia.
Located in a central location by the Grote Markt, the restaurant is a convenient spot for both locals and tourists. The setting is casual yet intimate, which is perfect for a range of occasions, whether it’s a romantic dinner or a laid-back meal with friends.
I like that is a pretty small restaurant. even though it’s on the Grote Markt, it doesn’t give me the cheap, touristy vibe.

5. Ignite Haarlem
This cozy establishment earns a place in the hearts of locals and travelers alike, thanks to its inviting ambiance and a well-curated menu that straddles the line between traditional and innovative.
I must mention, that Ignite does a spectacular job of bringing the essence of Italian pizza to Haarlem. Each visit reaffirms my appreciation for their dedication to quality and service. Whether it’s the perfectly charred crust or the rich, savory toppings, Ignite manages to strike a delightful balance with its culinary creations.

6. Restaurant Nolita
Situated conveniently on Lange Veerstraat 17, which is a stone’s throw away from the bustling Grote Markt, Nolita offers a taste of Italian cuisine right in the heart of Haarlem. de Lange Veerstraat is a great street full of bars, and restaurants. In the warmer months, everybody stands outside having drinks.
The atmosphere of the place is cozy and inviting, perfect for a casual lunch or dinner in the city center. What catches my attention every time I visit is their menu – a delightful selection of pizzas that always seem to strike the right balance between traditional flavors and creative twists.
At Nolita, the pizza dough is thin and crispy, just as I like it, and the toppings are always fresh and flavorful.
The restaurant is split into two parts, if you make a reservation, try to be seated on the side where the bar is (left).

When I look for authenticity in Italian cuisine, Restaurant – Pizzeria I Fratelli in Haarlem stands out. It’s a short walk from the Jopenkerk, after Having drinks at the famous Haarlem brewery, and then heading out for Fratelli.

8. WOODSTONE Pizza and Wine Haarlem
I find that WOODSTONE Pizza and Wine Haarlem stands out in the picturesque city of Haarlem. This restaurant offers a delightful fusion of authentic Italian recipes and a diverse selection of wines that perfectly complement their pizza offerings. And just a few feet away from the Jopenkerk. park your car at the parking lot RAAKS for easy access
The interior, with its chic and contemporary design, provides a cozy yet vibrant bar atmosphere where guests can unwind and savor their meals. Whether opting for a meal with family or enjoying a glass of wine with friends, the establishment caters to different dining experiences.

9. Pizzicotto Haarlem
Conveniently in the city center, this pizzeria has been serving up slices since April 2019.
For those who prefer the eco-friendly option of arriving by bike, Haarlem is a city that accommodates cyclists very well, making it hassle-free to navigate to Jansstraat 44 on two wheels. If I’m exploring on foot, the central location of Pizzicotto allows for a pleasant stroll through the city’s charming streets.

10. Novocento Haarlem
Restaurant Novecento is a culinary staple that stood out for its impressive Italian menu, with pizza being a star attraction. Located on one of my favorite streets in Haarlem. Start with having a drink at the square;hofje zonder zorgen, then go to Novocento.

This Italian Pizza Lab prides itself on its authentic Neapolitan pizza, which is a testament to its dedication to traditional Italian recipes. only a 5-minute walk from Central Station. The street itself is pretty quiet, which makes it feel like a restaurant for locals. My favorite pizza is the Calabrisella with San Marzano tomato sauce.

A fixture in the community since 1978, this eatery has garnered a solid reputation for serving up authentic Italian cuisine with a focus on hearty pizzas lovingly prepared using traditional recipes.
The ambiance of Casa Di Papi is warm and inviting, perfect for a family dinner or a casual meal with friends. My curiosity about the place was piqued by its menu, which features a variety of Italian staples. Their offerings range from savory pizzas and pasta to a selection of wines that ideally complement your meal.
My experience with their pizza was a delight. The crust was perfectly crisp, the toppings were fresh, and the flavors bold yet balanced
